West Ham United manager Manuel Pellegrini has said that Samir Nasri has yet to reduce on the necessary weight to put him into contention for a short-term contract with the club. The Frenchman recently served an 18-month ban after failing an anti-doping test and he is now preparing himself to make a surprise Premier League comeback.

In a report covered by The Independent, Pellegrini said that Nasri has yet to reach the peak fitness required at the east London club but he remains optimistic that the target can be achieved by the turn of the year, he said: “For me the weight of the player demonstrates his mentality. Ican’t give an advantage in this profession, especially when every game is so tight. "When every team has good players you cannot be overweight. I think that Samir will be at the end of the month the weight that we need him to be to be a professional player for West Ham. He is working hard and is absolutely convinced that he can do it.”

Manchester City Pep Guardiola has indicated that he won’t change the view on the current set of players irrespective of the Premier League result at Liverpool this weekend. The Citizens were dominated by the Reds last season as they lost three of their four matches against them across all competitions but Guardiola remains keen on making amends this weekend.

Speaking to reporters, the Catalan tactician indicated that his side do not fear the outlook of Jurgen Klopp’s men and they are prepared to provide an equal contest to the Reds when they face off at Anfield this weekend, he said: “I believe too much in that team, in those guys. I know how they fight. Go to Anfield, win, lose, whatever. It's a long time ago Man City was able to win at Anfield. What I want to see is the team alive, and we are alive. If they beat us three times, they are a good side. They lost the first game in the Carabao Cup (against Chelsea last week) but at Anfield they score a lot of goals, they don't concede.”

Paris Saint-Germain star Gianluigi Buffon has heaped praise on Kylian Mbappe after the Frenchman starred for his national side at the World Cup. Mbappe was hugely impressive during the global tournament with four goals and his efforts were eventually influential towards France securing their second World Cup crown.

Since then, Mbappe has earned plenty of praise for his showing and Buffon has now joined in to appreciate the former Monaco graduate, he said: “It's obvious [Mbappe] has something more than others. I hope he will remain humble and keep this desire to progress and make sacrifices. If so, he will make a mark in the history of football and write incredible pages of the sport.”

The French National Team achieved the title of world champion after they won the FIFA World Cup defeating the Croatian team in Moscow. The country won its 2nd World Cup title, which is indeed a proud feeling for all players who gave it their best shot. It is one of the diverse teams that took part in the league. The team has 7 Muslim players altogether, which includes Adil Rami, Benjamin Mendy, Djibril Sidibe, Paul Pogbo, Nabil Fekir, N’Golo Kante, Ousmane Dembele and Nabil Fekir. This was not the first time the team displayed diversity as many players in the past have contributed to the national team. Some of the prominent players include Karim Benzema, Zinedine Zidane, Franck Ribery, Hatem Ben Arfa, and last but not least Samir Nasri.

Samir Nasri was one of the top goal scorers for the national team and his brilliance in the game is unmatchable. He majorly played as a winger and an attacking midfielder. He is best known for his ball control and dribbling ability. Nasri’s style of playing and his cultural background has been compared with Zinedine Zidane, the French legend of football. Samir Nasri was the best when Manchester City won the League Cup 4 years back. He was also the man of the match and that’s known to all.

Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola has urged Leroy Sane to emulate Manchester United legend Ryan Giggs after enjoying an excellent season in the Premier League. The Germany international started the initial campaign from the bench but his form has thereafter earned him a regular role on the left-wing.

Former France international Samir Nasri has been banned for a six-month period after receiving a drip treatment in Los Angeles back in December 2016. The France international parted ways with Antalyaspor before the turn of the year, and it has now been confirmed that the 30-year-old won’t return to competitive action until the start of the 2017/18 campaign.

Belgium international Kevin de Bruyne has committed his future to Manchester City by putting pen-to-paper on a fresh five-year contract. The 26-year-old has evolved into one of the world's best midfielders under Pep Guardiola, and he is leading the Premier League assist charts with 10 this term.

Speaking on the club's official website, he said: "I am really happy to have signed this new deal. As I’ve said previously, my intention has always been to stay here at City, where I’ve felt at home from day one. Not only are we winning – we are playing great football. It’s a pleasure to be a part of and I’m really excited about what we can achieve in the coming years."

Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola was pleased with how the Citizens reacted after they went a goal behind at Huddersfield at half-time. The Premier League leaders dominated the play from the off, but they went into the break trailing 1-0 - courtesy of an own goal from Nicolas Otamendi.

However, the Mancunian giants started the second-half on the front foot as Sergio Aguero converted a penalty earned by Raheem Sterling while the latter completed the comeback with the equaliser six minutes from time. The result sees City maintain their eight-point advantage over United after 13 games into the season.

Samir Nasri claims that he will not make a return to his former club Marseille as a player, but does not rule out the possibility of returning to the club as a coach in the future.

The former Marseille star made the switch away from the club back in 2008 when he moved to Arsenal. After having represented the likes of Manchester City and Sevilla, he has recently made the switch to Turkish outfitAntalyaspor. The 30-year-old has been plagued by injury problems and has been suffering a major downturn in his career over the last few years.

Samir Nasri has brought his spell in English football to a conclusion after completing a move to Turkish outfitAntalyaspor.

The 30-year-old midfielder has not been in the plans of Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola, whose arrival at the Etihad stadium immediately resulted in Nasri moving to Sevilla on loan. Even though he was integral in Sevilla’s fourth place finish last season, Nasri does not appear to have been able to secure a permanent move to the Spanish club. Instead,Antalyaspor have been able to sign him for around €3 million, although the fee could raise to up to € 3.5 million.
