Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola was pleased with how the Citizens reacted after they went a goal behind at Huddersfield at half-time. The Premier League leaders dominated the play from the off, but they went into the break trailing 1-0 - courtesy of an own goal from Nicolas Otamendi.

However, the Mancunian giants started the second-half on the front foot as Sergio Aguero converted a penalty earned by Raheem Sterling while the latter completed the comeback with the equaliser six minutes from time. The result sees City maintain their eight-point advantage over United after 13 games into the season.

Following the game, Guardiola was pleased with how City performed during the second-half and insisted that the experience will be useful in their quest to win the English crown, he said: "It was good to have that experience. We want to win the title and you cannot expect easy games. You have to live these kind of situations. We spoke at half-time about how we were going to react. To not give up and be positive until the last second."

The Citizens broke another record on Sunday as they became the first club in English history to secure 11 consecutive away wins in all competitions. Guardiola's men have also won 37 of the 39 points at their disposal this term, and they are currently on 11-match winning league streak - only three behind the record of 14 consecutive games held by Arsenal in 2002.

City have recently been compared to the Gunners' invincibles of the 2003-04 season, but Guardiola has clearly dismissed the club's chances of achieving such a feat with the strong competition around them. City face arch-rivals Manchester United at Old Trafford later this month, and a victory over Jose Mourinho's side would surely make them clear favourites to pursue the Premier League title with the excellent squad depth they possess unlike their rivals.
