Manchester City's squad for the 2022/23 season has now been officially confirmed by the Premier League following the end of the summer transfer window. No Premier League squad can contain more than 17 players who do not fulfil the 'home grown player' criteria, while the rest of the squad, up to the limit of 25 players, must be 'home grown'. City have 14 non-home grown players.

A player is 'home grown' if they have been registered, irrespective of nationality, to any English club for at least three years before their 21st birthday. In City's case, Nathan Ake is the only 'home grown' player who was not born in the United Kingdom. Each club is also allowed to have a list of registered Under-21 players who are eligible over and above the squad limit of 25 players.

Here is City's squad in full:

Samir Nasri has hailed Guardiola for how well he has been able to groom his City squad and the former France international midfielder also added that this is the best ever squad assembled in the history of the club. Former Gunner Nasri also stated that City should be chasing the UEFA Champions League title this season as they have a great squad to achieve the feat.
