Raheem Sterling insists on focus
Manchester City star Raheem Sterling believes the club are facing a crucial period ahead as they compete for silverware in the FA Cup and Champions League.

The Mancunian giants have produced a poor defence of their league title this term and they are currently a staggering 21 points behind champions Liverpool with three games to play.
The Cityzens recently faced Brighton on the road in the Premier League and they had a comfortable outing as they scored five goals without conceding. Sterling was the pick of the players with a hat-trick which took his goal tally to 27 for the campaign and speaking after the game, he called for focus from his teammates saying: “We know we have to get back up to scratch and get into form because we have an important run in to the end of the season and we know we’ve got some massive games coming up. We just need to continue, finish the Premier League strong and hopefully finish in a few more competitions.”
Pep Guardiola’s side are scheduled to host Bournemouth in the next league game in midweek before they face Arsenal in the FA Cup semi-final at the weekend. The Cityzens will be favourites for the Cup tie against the Gunners, considering they have beaten the north London side in the past seven meetings with six of those involving them scoring three goals.
Still, they can’t be complacent ahead of the contest, considering the previous occasion when the Gunners beat them was the 2017 FA Cup semi-final. Back then, the capital outfit picked up a 2-1 comeback win over the Cityzens. Alexis Sanchez scored the winning goal in the first period of added extra time. The club have since experienced a decline, but anything can happen during a knockout contest.
