SAMIR NASRI AGREES WITH PEP GUARDIOLA ON SQUAD SELECTION AS LIST IS RELEASED
Manchester City's squad for the 2022/23 season has now been officially confirmed by the Premier League following the end of the summer transfer window. No Premier League squad can contain more than 17 players who do not fulfil the 'home grown player' criteria, while the rest of the squad, up to the limit of 25 players, must be 'home grown'. City have 14 non-home grown players.

Manuel Akanji, Nathan Ake*, Julian Alvarez, Scott Carson*, Joao Cancelo, Kevin de Bruyne, Ruben Dias, Phil Foden*, Sergio Gomez, Jack Grealish*, Ilkay Gundogan, Erling Haaland, Rodri, Riyad Mahrez, Aymeric Laporte, Bernardo Silva, Stefan Ortega Moreno, Kalvin Phillips*, Ederson Moraes, John Stones*, Kyle Walker*.
The Under-21 squad list includes the likes of Luke Mbete, Cole Palmer, Rico Lewis and Joshua Wilson-Esbrand, and also young players out on loan including Tommy Doyle, James McAtee and Liam Delap.

Samir Nasri has hailed Guardiola for how well he has been able to groom his City squad and the former France international midfielder also added that this is the best ever squad assembled in the history of the club. Former Gunner Nasri also stated that City should be chasing the UEFA Champions League title this season as they have a great squad to achieve the feat.
