Manchester City’s last game of the year 2013 was scheduled to be against Tottenham, a team that for the longest of times has been finishing at the top 5 spots of the Premier League. Manchester City was the clear favorites on winning this match but not by such a wide margin as the final scoreboard of 5-1 displayed at the end of it all.

Goals from Aguero, Toure, Dzeko, Jovetic and Kompany were more than enough for them to cruise past Tottenham. The boss of Tottenham, Tim Sherwood stated on a press conference after the match concluded that Manchester City was the best team on the planet.

“We’ve played the champions today without question. Unfortunately for everyone they play, they don’t just score one and shut up shop, they keep coming. They come at you from all angles and they are the best team in the league by a country mile. If anyone is going to win the league you want a team like this to do it because they entertain’’. Sherwoord said.

Jose Mourinho on the other hand has a different opinion about the statement made by Sherwood as the Portuguese coach said that Manchester City have been ‘’lucky’’ in this season more than anything else.

"The reality is they have many crucial decisions in their favor. They are lucky. The referees, they try to do their best and sometimes they make mistakes and normally during the season the mistakes are split between teams. In their case, they have everything in their favor. "Maybe, for the Tottenham manager, the planet is England. You will see how good City are in the Champions League. You will see in the next couple of months."Mourinho stated.

Those were the words of the same man that considered Manchester City to be the best team in the Premier League at the beginning of the season.
